Got Him!

After failing for days, this afternoon I managed to grab the last ghost koi from the leaky pond!

Not a great photo, but I was holding the net over the tank with one hand, and the iPhone with the other. Even iPhones aren’t perfect… Just for info, I measured the hole in the tank, and it’s 17″ across. Although he’s slightly in front of the hole in the tank, I reckon he’s a two-footer.

There’re almost certainly a few smaller fish (and frogs and newts and a zillion other mini-beasts) in the remaining and very muddy pond water. I’ll start bucketing that out now through the net, so I catch anything that’s still hiding.

Then the digging starts…
