It’s impossible not to blog about how proud I am of my daughter, Charlotte, who will hate this post.
Last Sunday she ran her first ever full marathon, in Manchester, in under 4h40m. She ran for the love of running, but also to raise money for a charity close to our hearts. Janet was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and a few years back started the journey toward kidney disfunction and failure in earnest. Janet’s mother died from the disease in 2006. Charlotte raised more than £700 for the Polycystic Kidney Disease charity http://www.pkdcharity.org.uk and donations after the event are still coming in at https://www.justgiving.com/Charlotte-Rosher
Charlie graduates from Manchester University this summer, and is likely to continue with further education. She’s bloody fab, and it’s no bad thing to put that out there.
