I don’t know if it’s the heat, the time of year, a game, or what one Mute Swan said about a Bewick’s wife… but today at Slimbridge there were snapping attacks from several Bewicks on Mute Swans. Remember, the Mutes are quite a bit larger. All the swans were rolling about in the water and wing flapping to keep cool, but it was … fun, to watch the nipping and chasing.
