The ongoing chain of lawsuits and counter lawsuits between Viacom and Google/Youtube hit the news again today. Yawn.
However, one quote jumped out at me. Apparently, one of the copyright infringements Vicom alledge concerns Al Gore’s film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, which has been watched via YouTube ‘an astounding 1.5 billion times’!
Forget the copyright issues, this number doesn’t include the DVD’s sold and given away and watched at camps and parties. 1.5 billion downloads! I just think that’s great! 🙂
