In a fit of pique I trashed and reinstalled WordPress. There was something odd going on, probably due to a version conflict during the 2.3.1 upgrade, and the write page was corrupted. I carefully backed up my database profile but clean forgot the theme. Which of course had been built on the fly with no local copy… I guess bish’s blog is going to get a make-over. (sigh)
[a little later… It appears the issues were down to site security. I had not got the root url as a trusted site and 2.3.1 obviously cares. fixed now; wish I’d not deleted my theme…]
