What fun! A dark moon, minimal light pollution and a warm woolen cloak… and meteorites. Miss and I spent a fun hour or so counting shooting stars last night laid flat on our backs in the back garden. We even saw the space station and a few satellites whizzing across the sky, but the free fireworks were spectacular.

Back gardens are fine, but I gather from some email lists I’m on that a few folk were quizzed by the local police, called out to arrest suspicious folk on village greens, in parks, on hilltops and at normally otherwise preoccupied cottaging sites! LOL Oh the times they have a-changed…
