  1. Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
    And she said,

“Mark! Stop playing in the new camper van and do the dishes!”

  3. ..he he. You went for it then? Good for you. We demand pictures.

Does this mean you don’t want to borrow the narrow boat after all? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Ok, you’ll have to hang on a bit. Sale agreed is different to having the beast outside…

It’s a 1997 VW Autosleeper, so not (repeat NOT) a trippy hippy bay window nightmare with no power steering, no brakes, rests every ninety minutes to let the engine cool down again and frequent breakdowns… Yes, we really tried to like them but they defeated us! LOL. It’s not a ‘Mystery Machine’ either, though I do a good Shaggy sandwich… (not a sexual thing, a foodstuff).

Pictures once we’ve got it here. ๐Ÿ™‚

So you have finally sold out to clicky-knees and old age huh? Welcome to the club!

It was three years ago that my beloved decided she was tired of unfolding me out of our tent (and she also wanted her own toilet). So we bought an old, but serviceable, caravan.

It makes quite a difference I can tell you. I assume your Hippy Truck has an Awning? If not – get one, you’ll never understand how you got on without one.

I must admit I still feel guilty. I used to camp with a bivvy bag, a tarp and a few lengths of parachute cord. I was an amateur Ray Mears and travelled the length and breadth of Britain with a small-ish pack and a well-worn thumb. But that was twenty years ago before I was married, had small kids and me knees went west with the setting sun ๐Ÿ™‚

Well good luck and don’t forget to have it serviced – VW’s like a little regular TLC from my experience.
