I love the later summer / autumn, especially for it’s harvest. This morning we went on one of our customary wanders around the village, and came back with this!

The rest of the day will be occupied by the making of blackberry and apple pies and damson jam… (ok, ok, Miss and miss will make the pies, and I’ll blog the whole event for posterity!)

And next week the elderberries ought to be ripe! Yay for forage! 🙂
