I took delivery of a new computer yesterday. Another Mesh but rather more current than my old one – which in fairness still performs sterling service but is beginning to show it’s five years of age… However, there are a few issues that need addressing with the new machine. For one, it has no COM port. COM1, 2, etc are no longer cutting edge and have fallen by the wayside, but it does mean that the weather station cannot currently communicate with the PC nor update the web site. This means we are stuck with a rather unhelpful graph of last weeks (admitedly quote nice) weather. Likewise, the web cam software is not seeing the camera (though the OS is).
