Where’s me keys v. What’re me keys?

A random comment about forgetfullness at work this morning prompted someone to say ‘Alzheimers’ has struck again’. A casual joking response. Another colleague said he had been given a good definition for the illness.

When you lose your keys, that’s not Alzheimers’…
When you look at your keys and can’t remember what they are or what they do, that’s Alzheimers’.

I thought that was so succinct I would post it here, to remind me the next time I forgot and was tempted to joke about this awful condition.
