Miss’ 3G iPod finally gave up the ghost this last weekend, so I bravely ordered a new battery from www.ipoddoctor.co.uk for twenty five quid. Half an hour of wiggling with my bushcraft knife later, and the thing’s done! And no scratches! So easy, although the provided ‘opening tool’ lasted about fifteen seconds before self destructing. I thoroughly recommend breathing new life into these older iPods… they still work fine bar the battery issues, and this new cell will hopefully last at least, oh, three months the way Miss overcharges them…
